Pitch and pitch coke market research in Russia

The report is devoted to investigation of current standing of market of pitch and pitch coke in CIS countries and forecast of its development. The report consists of 6 Sections, contains 98 pages, including 23 Figures, 68 Tables and 3 Appendices. This work is desk study. As information sources, we used data of Rosstat, Inter-State Committee on Statistics of CIS countries, Federal Customs Service of Russia, official domestic railage statistic of JSC RZhD (former Ministry of Railway Transport of Russia), sectoral (industrial) and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, as well as data from web-sites of company-producers and consumers of the products of interest.

The first Section of the report presents analysis of coke and by-product production in CIS countries (Russia, Ukraine), data on resources, required for production of pitch and pitch coke, their characteristics. Besides, the Section describes in details methods and features of obtaining pitch and pitch coke.

The second Section of the report is devoted to production of pitch and pitch coke in CIS countries (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan). The Section of the report presents statistical and estimation data on volumes of production of the products in 1994-2006 by CIS enterprises. In addition, a part of the Section is devoted to description of current standing of the main producers of pitch and pitch coke in the CIS, including data on their supplies.

The third Section of the report presents data on foreign trade in pitch and pitch coke in Russia (1994-2006), Ukraine (1999-2006) and Kazakhstan (1995-2006).

The fourth Section of the report presents information on current domestic prices on pitch and pitch coke at Russian market, as well as analysis of data on dynamics of export-import prices on the products in Russia (1994-2006) and in Ukraine (2001-2006).

The fifth Section of the report analyses consumption pitch and pitch coke in Russia. The Section presents supply-demand balance of pitch and pitch coke (1994-2006), sectoral structure of their consumption, presents the main Russian consumers (including their volumes of consumption in 2003-06), as well as describes current standing and prospects of development of the greatest enterprise-consumers (aluminium and electrode plants).

The sixth, final Section of the report presents forecast of production pitch and pitch coke in Russia and Ukraine, as well as forecast of consumption of pitch and pitch coke in Russia up to 2010.

The Appendices present contact information on producers and consumers of pitch and pitch coke in the CIS.
